As Eurovision fever builds across Europe, Denmark is set to host its highly anticipated Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on March 1, 2025. The national selection, taking place at the Jyske Bank Boxen arena in Herning, will determine who represents Denmark at the 69th Eurovision Song Contest in Basel, Switzerland.
This year's lineup features a diverse mix of eight talented artists, including Eurovision alum Tim Schou, who returns as a solo artist 14 years after his 5th place finish with A Friend In London[4]. Schou's entry, "Proud," is a personal anthem about rediscovering dreams and accepting one's journey.
Other notable contestants include Sissal with her electro-pop track "Hallucination," co-written by Eurovision veterans Linnea Deb and Melanie Wehbe, and Adel the Second with his debut "The Unluckiest Boy Alive," which blends pop and house music with orchestral elements.
The competition will be hosted by returning presenters Stéphanie Surrugue and Sara Bro, with the winner determined by a combination of public voting and an expert jury comprising international experts and Danish superfans.
As Denmark aims to secure its first Grand Final qualification since 2019, anticipation is high for what promises to be an exciting showcase of Danish musical talent. With over a million viewers tuning in last year, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix continues to unite generations of music lovers across the country.
